In Konomi, we believe that tea can and should be more than a beverage. It has a story, a process, all these beautiful details and moments that can bring enthusiasm and pleasure into something most of us see as just a drink. Asia lives for tea, Japan has its tea culture embedded deep into their history, carrying interesting stories and heritage for hundreds of years. For us, it is much more than a drink.

We started the brand in 2020 with a goal of exploring what the Japanese tea culture is about and finding a way of sharing our new knowledge with all those interested as well. We love the process, the need of slowing down when brewing the tea, taking time and being present when tasting it, not wasting a single drop. Equally, we are convinced of the incredibly positive health effects high quality Japanese tea, and especially matcha, can offer us. With this in mind, we search for the most interesting, highest quality tea, to offer here, far outside Asia.
