Description
What is OBUKUCHA?
Good luck tea to celebrate the New Year and ward off all the unpleasantness from the previous year. The beginning of the tradition of drinking it at Christmas time and at the turn of the year dates back to Kyoto in the Heian period more than 1000 years ago. The type of tea used at Obukucha varies according to the tea merchant's own traditions and preferences.
Konomi Obukucha 2024 is a unique blend of Genmaicha tea for which we, with our exclusive supplier Yoshida Meichaen, have selected leaves from high-quality Gyokura with a smaller proportion of roasted rice in order to highlight the flavor of the leaves even more for you.
Preparation
5g of tea
150ml of filtered, soft water with a temperature of 90℃
40s infusion
The tea is multi-infused. We recommend that you prepare it in 2 infusions.
Repeat the second infusion with the same amount and temperature of water. Steep the tea for the same amount of time.
